I heard that quote and had to laugh. In its simplest form, I guess it’s true. While I didn’t start with a felled tree, I do start with chunks of wood. For my second acoustic, it all started with a large piece of Honduran Rosewood that I stashed away for about ten years. I bought it with no plans on what to do with it.
